PREPARATION FOR EYELASH EXTENSIONS

In preparation for your eye lash extension treatment, we ask that you please arrive to your appointment without wearing any eye makeup.  Residual make-up can cause the adhesive not to bond properly with your natural lashes and can cause the extensions to fall out prematurely.

  • Remove all make-up, including foundation, eyeliner, eye shadow, mascara, eye creams and eye serums.
  • Avoid using waterproof mascara for at least 3 days prior.
  • If you wear contact lenses, please bring along your contact lens case with you, as contact lenses cannot be worn during the treatment.
  • Please be prepared that you are comfortable lying down for a few hours with your eyes closed.
  • IPod music/headphones are welcome.

LASH EXTENSION AFTERCARE

The more meticulous you are about caring for your Lash extensions, the longer you can expect them to last.

  • No Swimming, steam rooms or saunas for 48 hours.
  • Rinse eyes after swimming in chlorine and salt water
  • Use only water based makeup removers and cleansers. Oily/cream based products will shorten the life of your eyelash extensions. Oil breaks down the adhesive bond.
  • Avoid using cotton swabs or pads that will leave lint and catch on your extensions.
  • No waterproof mascara. Water based mascara may be applied only to the tips of your eyelash extensions.
  • No eyelash curlers on your eyelash extensions.
  • Be sure not to rub your eyes, tug, pick or pull on the extensions because this can cause lash loss and even damage to your natural lashes.
  • Avoid heat bursts from Ovens, BBQs and dishwashers.
  • Extreme Heat or flames such as cigarette lighters will melt your lashes
  • A foaming Lash cleanser must be used on your lashes daily to keep the lash line clean and help prevent eye infections. Regular cleansing will keep your lashes healthy and your eyelash extensions lasting longer, this will help prevent a build-up of natural oils, dust and make-up.
  • Dry thoroughly by blotting (not rubbing) with a towel or blow drying on a cool setting, then spin through with a clean mascara wand.
